My car 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Orange Bur Metallic was totaled on 06/19/2026. It was rear ended on i-470 and pryor rd. Loved the color of the car, as far as driving was okay and familiar so we wanted to stay with that car but maybe newer. We checked all over was even going to take a trip to Streetsboro, Oh. to pickup a grey 2024 Equinox but only because I could go buy Monroe, Mi. to pick up some vape juice. Anyway that deal fell through because the money did not come through so we were going to have to get something local.

We bought the first Equinox at Robertson Robinson in Excelsior Springs. They had a 2024 Equinox with only 5015 miles on it. So we thought that this would work for our needs. Went up there to test drive and purchase the car. The only issue was that the service managaer had taken the car home for the weekend.

In my opinion what a very problematic issue for a car dealer. If your people are going to take a car home make sure that it is going to be one that people are not going to want to buy. Not only that but the gentleman that sold me the car never would return my call. We did also goto the lot but got the samne information and they would not call the service manager to get him to bring in the car.

Call me old fashioned at 63 and I probably am. Customer service at least in this type of business should be I need to word this better trying to get across that customer service should be of the utmost importance

So at 4:17pm I got a ping while driving for lyft to go pickup a client. I accepted the ride and picked hime up at 4:27pm we astarted on the ride but traffic became backed up so we were stopped on the highway and a van come up behine us and slammed into the rear end of the car. There began to be smoke in the car so I ask the client if they were okay and to exit the vehicle. I had beend tossed forward pretty hard and was being slow getting out. I also have a bad back anyway and have a hard time moving. The lady that hit us came and started helping me to get out saying she was sorry. But then her kids got out of the van and I told her to tend to them. I got out and sat on the side of the road till am,bulance came but heard her say that the kids had distracted her and she had turned around for just a second.

I was taken to the hospital to be checked out because of my head hitting, knee and just to check my neck and back.They did a CT scan on my head and neck and said that if I had tingling or numbness in my hands or feet to go to the ER.

After getting home Sunday my hands and feet begin to tingle so I went to ER where the prescribed me Tanzadine. Which after taking for 3 or 4 days did absolutly nothing for the pain.

So on June 22, 2026 I already had a MRI setup for my lower back. I went to that forgot the valium they had given to me for the MRI but made it through with some special music. He read them on the 23rd which I ran through Claude and it was not good news at all. Went to see his nurse practitioner on the 24th and she advised that they would suggest epideral injectections.

Well I said a whole lot of nothing there to say this in all of this I had been given valium from the ER in Excelsior and with the valium, tylenol and tumeric it was actually taking the edge off the pain a little but my doctor would not represcribe the valium. Insurance has these people turned into knots about what they can do.

I say why don't we mind our own business and take care of issues that we have here at home. Like making sure we have no or very little homeless. Make sure our seniors have the help that they need at home. Make meals on wheels actually work where the food is edible.These are our prarents and grand parents and need the respect that they gave to us.
